An Enlightened Hanukkah

Hanukkah, which comes early this year, is a time to celebrate the festival of lights and share special foods with friends and family, but eating lots of fried foods and certain types of dairy can be rough on our digestive system. Jennifer Abadi, author of A Fistful of Lentils, will show you how to maintain the spirit and tradition of Hanukkah with her fresh, modern take on conventional recipes using lighter, healthier ingredients. Freshly Ground Olive Spread • Feta Salad with Oregano, Tarragon, Artichoke Hearts and Dates • Sweet & Savory Roasted Carrots, Parsnips, and Brussels Sprout Salad with Pomegranate Molasses Vinaigrette • Shredded Baked Potato Latke Pie • Crispy Spinach-Dill Fritters with Sharp Sheep’s Milk Cheese and Greek Yogurt • Arborio Rice Pancakes with Pine Nuts, Golden Raisins and Lemon • Fruity Olive Oil-Yogurt Cake with Pink Grapefruit Zest.
